Based on multi-variate mathematics:
Y = f( x1, x2, x3, .....xn)
Where Y is the cost-to-complete, and
x1, x2, x3, .....xn
are parameters that are assumed to have a cost impact of some sort, and
their value is known at the time of the estimate.
The function f is not known.
History of somewhat similar k cases does exist, and for which one
knows:
Yi = f( x1i, x2i, x3i,
.....xni)
Where i=1,2,...k.
Yi is the cost to complete project i, when the value of
parameters xj was xji .
